Starting Wage Position Overview
Perform analytical activities, internal research and technical opinions related to Foreign Trade processes. Track results, meet goals, and execute general industry activities. Ensure compliance with all internal and external standards, procedures, in compliance with Hexion's general and human resources policies.
Job Responsibilities
- Always be up to date with laws and regulations related to international trade, both in the country of origin and in the country of destination, knowledge about tariffs, trade agreements, restrictions, and customs requirements.
- Dealing with different consenting bodies and regulatory bodies; Example: Federal Revenue, ANP, MAPA, ANVISA, INMETRO.
- Monitor the opening and closing of Drawback Concession Acts with the broker and financial area.
- Carry out the customs procedures and processes involved in the import and export of goods.
- Prepare customs documents, the correct classification of products according to the Mercosur Common Nomenclature (NCM) and the coordination of import and export processes with customs brokers.
- Knowledge about the different incoterms, modes of transport used in international trade, such as sea, air and land.
- Understand the processes of packaging, storing, transporting, and insuring goods, as well as best practices for optimizing the supply chain.
- Negotiate clearly and accurately, this includes the ability to convey relevant information, clarify doubts, and resolve issues with suppliers, customers, and business partners.
- Utilize spreadsheets, software tools to track and monitor the status of import and export operations, manage documents and reports, and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Fill in spreadsheets recording and organizing information relevant to the processes of the area with information about shipments, (example: in travel, port, clearance, loading and delivery...) until the destination (Factory or customers).
- Facilitate the monitoring of import and export processes and keep information up to date.
Competencies Minimum Qualifications
**Obligatory**:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Foreign Trade or related areas.
Experience over 5 years in the field
Intermediate English Knowledge in import and export management systems (e.g., Siscomex)
Knowledge in International Logistics Knowledge in customs proceedings
**Desirable**:
Advanced English
