Job Overview: Salary: $1700 USD per month We are a dynamic US-based accounting firm serving clients in the manufacturing industry, seeking an experienced and driven Accounts Receivable (AR) Accountant based in Latin America.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the AR process, with a particular focus on customer collections.
You will frequently engage with US-based clients over the phone and ensure timely payments by following up on overdue accounts.
Proficiency in English and experience in AR are critical for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities: AR Management: Maintain and manage the accounts receivable ledger for US-based manufacturing clients, ensuring accuracy and timely payment collection.
Phone Collections: 4 Hours a day of actively chasing down outstanding invoices by contacting customers through phone and email to secure timely payments.
Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries, resolving payment issues, and negotiating payment plans as needed.
Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile AR accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Reporting: Prepare weekly AR aging reports and provide updates to the Accounting Manager and the client regarding the status of outstanding accounts.
NetSuite Expertise: Utilize NetSuite for all AR-related transactions, invoicing, and reconciliation processes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the finance, sales, and customer service teams to resolve billing issues and improve the AR process.
Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
Experience: At least 1 year of experience in AR, preferably working with US clients in a manufacturing or related industry.
Software: Proficiency in NetSuite is highly preferred.
Language Skills: Fluent in both written and spoken English, with excellent communication skills to manage customer relations.
Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to managing AR accounts.
