Overview : We are seeking an experienced Senior AS400 Techno-Functional Analyst with a strong background in both technical and functional aspects of AS400 systems. This role involves working closely with business and IT teams to support, enhance, and optimize AS400 applications, as well as provide leadership in troubleshooting, designing, and implementing solutions. Key Responsibilities : Technical Expertise : Design, develop, and implement solutions on the AS400 platform using RPG, RPGLE, CL, and SQL. Maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance existing AS400 applications and interfaces. Perform root cause analysis and problem resolution for issues related to AS400 systems. Functional Knowledge : Work with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into functional specifications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business process improvements and recommend AS400-driven solutions. Analyze and document business requirements, create process flows, and conduct system testing. Project Management : Lead and participate in project planning, from requirements gathering through to testing and implementation. Manage timelines, resources, and deliverables to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope. Communicate project status, issues, and solutions effectively to stakeholders. Integration & Interfacing : Develop and support integrations between AS400 applications and other enterprise systems. Monitor and enhance data exchange processes to ensure data accuracy and consistency across platforms. System Optimization : Perform performance tuning and system optimization for AS400 applications to improve efficiency. Ensure high availability, reliability, and security of AS400 systems. Documentation & Training : Create and maintain technical and functional documentation for AS400 applications and processes. Provide training and support to end-users and junior team members. Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. 7+ years of experience in AS400 development and functional analysis. Proficiency in RPG, RPGLE, CL, SQL, and DB2 on AS400. Strong functional knowledge in ERP systems, preferably in modules such as finance, inventory, and supply chain. Excellent problem-solving skills with a solid understanding of AS400 architecture. Experience in project management and ability to work in a collaborative environment. Knowledge of other integration tools and ERP software is a plus. Soft Skills : Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
