**Cedar Wood Recruitment is now recruiting for an Assistant Lodge Manager at a luxury game lodge in a prestigious, big 5 private game reserve in KwaZulu-Natal**
***Key Performance Areas**
- Meet and greet all guests
- Cover all daily and weekly requirements of the Lodge Manager when on leave
- Host agents, media and groups
- Ensure guest delights happen daily
- Host evenings as required by business levels
- Weekly planning: training, guest requirements and staffing levels
- Housekeeping: room checks
- Kitchen oversight
- Ensure that minimum standards as per BOPs are adhered to in all departments
- Weekly visits to the sister lodge in the Reserve
- Departmental and finance meetings
- Promote positive health and staff welfare
- Regular staff training
- Stock take
- Complete performance reviews for staff and departments directly reporting to you and submitted on time
- Attend Health and Safety meeting each month and ensure departments have made any necessary adjustments
- Ensure any overruns in time sheets in your departments are remedied with under-time
- Manage budget lines
- Promote teamwork between departments
***Requirements: Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge, Experience**
- At least 3 years relevant experience in a 5-star operation
- Some form of managerial training
- Knowledge of the surrounding communities
- General knowledge of South Africa
- Company knowledge
- Valid unendorsed SA driver's license essential
- Experience in the service industry especially in dealing with guests and staff
- Previous camp manger/safari host experience an advantage
- Previous experience in working with kids an advantage

***Remuneration and Package**
- This is a permanent live-in position, based in the Reserve
- Salary: R22 000
- Leave cycle: 6 weeks on, 2 weeks off
