The ideal candidate will assist in overseeing rig operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and adherence to industry standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a commitment to fostering a safe and productive work environment.Key Responsibilities:Operational Support: Assist the Rig Manager in daily operations, including drilling, maintenance, and crew management, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to drilling programs.Safety Management: Promote and enforce safety protocols and practices among crew members, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory safety standards.Crew Coordination: Support the scheduling and management of rig personnel, ensuring the right skill sets are available for various tasks and operations.Performance Monitoring: Monitor drilling performance and make recommendations for improvements in processes and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.Communication: Act as a liaison between the Rig Manager and crew, providing clear communication regarding objectives, expectations, and updates on operations.Emergency Response: Assist in the development and implementation of emergency response plans, ensuring all crew members are trained and prepared for potential incidents.Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of daily operations, incidents, and performance metrics, preparing reports for the Rig Manager and upper management as required.Training and Development: Support the training and development of crew members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.Qualifications:Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Geology, or a related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.Experience: Experience in offshore drilling operations, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.Certifications: Valid offshore safety and survival training certifications (e.g., BOSIET, HUET).Technical Skills: Strong understanding of drilling operations, equipment, and technologies.Leadership Abilities: Proven ability to lead teams, manage conflicts, and foster a collaborative work environment.Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey information to diverse audiences.Working Conditions:The position is based on the officeBenefits:Competitive salary and benefits packageOpportunities for career advancement and professional developmentComprehensive health and wellness programs
