Job Summary: The Booster Club Store Assistant supports the day-to-day operations of the Booster club store. The assistant helps with stocking merchandise, assisting customers, and ensuring the store operates smoothly. This role involves working closely with the Store Manager and volunteers to provide a positive shopping experience for students, parents, and faculty/staff.Key Responsibilities:Operating Procedures:Implement new labeling and scanning procedures for all store items.Register and label every store item into the new system.Maintain physical and digital inventory on a regular basis.Store Operations:Assist in opening and closing the store as per the established schedule (8:00 am - 5:00 pm, includes 1 hour lunch).Help maintain the cleanliness and organization of the store.Order and restock merchandise such as school apparel, spirit items, and supplies.Register all donations received, handle transactions, and ensure accurate cash handling.Assist the Store Manager in preparing monthly financial reports and reconciliation with inventory.Merchandise and Inventory Support:Stock shelves and displays with merchandise.Maintain proper inventory levels and organize storage areas.Assist with receiving, unpacking, and organizing new inventory.Help with inventory checks and reporting discrepancies.Assist with preparing merchandise for promotional events and restocking after busy periods.Volunteer and Customer Assistance:Support and guide volunteers on store policies and procedures.Provide friendly and helpful customer service to students, parents, and faculty/staff.Help answer customer inquiries about products and pricing.Sales and Promotions:Assist in preparing for special promotions and sales events.Help set up displays and promotional materials in the store and storefront.Distribute flyers or promotional items as directed by the Store Manager.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent.Prior retail or sales experience is preferred but not required.Ability to communicate fluently in both English and Portuguese.Ability to learn and use the store's point-of-sale (POS) system.Strong communication and customer service skills.Ability to work collaboratively with the Store Manager, volunteers, and school staff.Detail-oriented and organized.Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings or weekends based on school events.Escolaridade Mínima: Ensino Médio (2º Grau)Idiomas:Inglês (Avançado)
