Job OverviewProviding high quality language services and support to the translation team that result inexcellent customer satisfaction. Through tasks and projects, further develops languageskills, techniques and methodologies.Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Excellence – Provides high quality and accurate translations as part of alarger project team. Effectively understands source language content and appliesappropriate style and terminology to the target language. Utilizes organizational andtime management skills to deliver assignments on time and within budget.Delivers Quality, Value, Results – Meets required standards for quality byunderstanding and correctly applying RWS's linguistic and project processes andprocedures. May provide linguistic quality assurance (QA) testing of localizedtranslations.) Effectively learns and utilizes translation tools to ensure the highestquality output.Functional Excellence – Learns important translation and linguistic tools by actively participating in both formal and informal learning opportunities suchas training programs and on-the-job experience. Applies learnings to develop higherlevels of proficiency in translation skills, specialized knowledge (e.g., industry,linguistic), and cultural standards associated with source and target languages.Skills and experience:o Native-level proficiency in Brazilian Portuguese and fluency in English.o Bachelor's degree in translation, linguistics, or a related field.o Excellent communication and writing skillso Knowledge of CAT tools (e.g. Trados) is a plus.o Previous experience with IT translation (e.g. internships) is a plus.Recruitment processPrescreening call with the recruiterShort linguistic testInterview with the Hiring Manager and the Language Office DirectorOfferThis is full time, in house position.
