We are looking for a seasoned Senior Backend Engineer with at least 5 years of experience in web development.
Responsibilities: Develop high-performing, scalable, and available backend infrastructure.
Contribute to and continually improve our site architecture, feature components, development process, SDLC tools, and system design.
Translate product requirements and technical designs into well-engineered, low-defect, robust code, optimizing the application for maximum speed and scalability.
Research new technologies or methodologies to improve the architecture, user experience, or development process.
Review security and data protection strategies.
Participate in code reviews, and listen to feedback while sharing your knowledge with other team members.
Identify performance bottlenecks while proposing and implementing effective solutions.
Working closely with senior stakeholders to understand business requirements and help translate these into technical requirements for the development team.
Participate in the design and implementation of data storage solutions.
Requirements: BS, MS, or Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related technical field preferred.
5+ years of experience with NodeJS, and ExpressJS.
Experience with scaling APIs Knowledge of AWS services Experience with ClickHouse.
Proven success as a technical team leader.
Experience in making decisions to scale applications at an architectural level.
Experience with backend services or distributed systems, with a strong understanding of how backend code affects the database layer.
Experience with Typescript is a plus.
Experience with MySql, MongoDB, and Graph DBs.
Strong foundation in programming, algorithms, and software application design.
Broad knowledge of databases, data structures, and data modeling.
Knowledge of user authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments.
Knowledge of management of hosting environment, including database administration and scaling an application to support load changes.
Knowledge of data migration, transformation, and scripting.
Experience with creating database schemas that represent and support business processes.
Understanding of "session management" in a distributed server environment.
Experience with building RESTful APIs.
Basic understanding of front-end technologies and platforms, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
