The LDB operates the retail brands BCLIQUOR and BC Cannabis Stores and is committed to improving services and ensuring sustainability for future generations.About this role:This position is accountable for leading the assembly team of over 400 employees across all shifts, while providing senior manager oversight to the day shift. Responsibilities include motivating teams towards achieving department and organizational goals, coaching and mentoring direct reports, developing and recommending operating and capital budgets, and monitoring spend. The position will work closely with senior leaders within the distribution department to plan and execute department accountabilities and build collaborative relationships with support departments such as Labour Relations, Finance, Information Technology, and Supply Chain.The Senior Manager, Assembly Operations will lead continuous improvement initiatives linked to strategic objectives, ensuring key performance indicators are achieved while maintaining high standards of safety, accuracy, and efficiency through best practices.A criminal record check is required. Work occurs in a multi-shift facility. The successful candidate must have the ability to travel occasionally, sometimes overnight.Position requirements:Education and Experience:Secondary (high) school diploma or equivalent certificate.A minimum of 5 years recent, related work experience in a warehouse environment.A minimum of 3 years recent, related work experience in a leadership position in a fast-paced, high-volume distribution centre.*Recent, related work experience must have occurred in the last 10 years and include:Direct management of a team of at least 100 staff.Working with a warehouse management system (WMS).Preference may be given to candidates with:Degree/Diploma in business administration, operations management, or related fields.Experience working in a unionized environment.Application instructions:To be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined in the position requirements section above.
