Bring your experiences, your perspectives, and your passion; it's in our differences that we empower the way the world learns.**About the Role**:**How you will make an impact**:- Participate in gathering requirements and work with other BAs to create appropriate epics and stories in JIRA.- Execute requirements and backlog management in Agile software development methodology.- Learn about Research publishing to ensure requirements meet with business goals.- Understand the existing capabilities within Author Services workflows to perform gap analysis as well as analyze production issues.- Work closely with colleagues in product management and Development teams to understand pain points and develop the best approaches to addressing them.- Construct workflow diagrams and supporting documents.- Maintain program backlog; keep it current with priorities.- Work closely with Author Services leads to realize solutions, conduct periodic reviews of implementations, and escalate issues.- Work with developers and quality engineers to prioritize any bugs that are found through the QE and UAT processes.- Act as an expert tester and reference for business testers during user acceptance procedures for newly developed features.**What we look for**:- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field.- 5 - 7 years of experience in a business analyst role for technology implementation- Work in the position of business analyst/senior business analyst for an IT company during the last three years.- Basic knowledge of software development lifecycle and processes (experience in Agile development approach).- Broad experience in MS Office, Jira, and Confluence.- Experience in the creation of technical specifications, business requirements, and other documentation required in software development.- Organizing requirements into Epics, and stories.- Good understanding of technology and ability to translate business needs into concrete capabilities.- Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with business stakeholders and development teams.- Strong experience in establishing customer relationships and creating a pipeline for requirements.- Critical thinker with good judgment and initiative.- Strong attention to detail.- Ability to work independently and with others.- Extremely organized with strong time-management skills.- Grace under pressure and clear and unbiased thinking.- Ability to speak to audiences with different backgrounds and at different levels of organizations.- Experience working in a large and high-pressure cross-program/project environment.**About Wiley**:Enabling Discovery, Powering Education, Shaping Workforces.We clear the way for seekers of knowledge: illuminating the path forward for research and education, tearing down barriers to society's advancement, and giving seekers the help they need to turn their steps into strides.Wiley may have been founded over two centuries ago, but our secret to success remains the same: our people.
