This function reports to the Strategy & Product Management Director within VTLA.Aligned with the Global and Regional Volvo Trucks strategies, the Business Developer shall coordinate activities to evaluate the viability of new business for VTLA. Once the feasibility studies are approved, to coordinate the development of those new businesses.The Business Developer also drives the addressing of VTLA needs within the R&D (Research and Development) and the local Capex and S&A funds to perform the investigations and, afterwards, to support the introduction of these new products and/or services. To do that, the Business Developer shall provide business cases and strategic argumentation.Key ResponsibilitiesAssure Volvo Trucks long term economical sustainability by offering the best possible product and services offer with maximized profitability, right features level and right cost, for the markets within Latin America.Responsible to carry the market assessment of new business, including: market analysis, competitors evaluation, volume forecast and pricing.Assure the accomplishment of the regulations for the LAM markets.Assure VTLA accomplishment of the targets on sustainability, like CO2 emissions, circularity, and energy efficiency.Develop, maintain, and make good use of the specific processes and tools related to product and services strategies like: Segmentation, Pricing, Market Development, Extended Profitability (XPA) and others.Perform pre-study coordinating cross-functional teams to evaluate new possible business.Responsible to centralize all inputs from the different markets in LAM assuring that the relevant specific market needs are assured in terms of products and services offer for new businesses.Represent Volvo Trucks in the product and services governance in Latin America in issues related to new businesses.For the new technologies/business, be responsible for the Long Term Volume Forecast within the horizon of 5 years, within the global process, to be used as the basis for upcoming decisions on investments, projects and also negotiations with suppliers by Purchasing Department (GTO).Set the objectives for Local Content for the Projects according to the current strategies.Responsible for presenting the VTLA business development related projects in Volvo Trucks Global governance.Essential Skills and ExperienceKnowledge on Volvo products and Processes.Business acumen.Language: Portuguese and English languages are mandatory.Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization.Project Management knowledge.We value your data privacy and therefore do not accept applications via mail.Who we are and what we believe inOur focus on Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity allows each of us the opportunity to bring our full authentic self to work and thrive by providing a safe and supportive environment, free of harassment and discrimination.
