**Sales Director - Business Development Leader, Merchant Sales & Solutions**

**Job Summary**
The Sales Director will **manage a portfolio of local Acquirers and Fintechs** and will have the ultimate responsibility for the commercial relationship and sales. This position will be responsible for expanding business lines in Brazil under MSA unit, defining the strategy for each client, **increasing VISA and Cybersource products and solutions** and executing projects to expand acceptance and Visa volumes.
The Sales Director will be also responsible for **strategic account planning, business development, technical solutions consulting, pipeline management and client success.** As part of the job, the Sales Director will have to onboard new players that applies for VISA Acquirer Principal License that will end up adding to his/her portfolio.
This position and structure will be placed under Visa Merchant Sales & Acquiring organization, and requires domestic / international travel availability.
**Job Scope**
- Establish and develop beneficial and constructive client relationships.
- Experienced sales executive that can use skills to create value to both clients and Visa.
- Negotiate and close sales deals, ensuring win-to-win approach by bringing favorable terms for both the customer and the company.
- Develop and coordinate business development, product, and innovation opportunities for clients, manage sales materials, client proposals and utilize a consultive sales approach to lead/facilitate business development activities.
- Develop relationship management plans for a group of key clients and achieve business objectives through planned and well executed initiatives.
- Develop sales strategies, business cases and financial models to manage sales process and achieve volume sales and revenue targets.
- Collaborate with the sales support team to achieve sales targets and meet or exceed quarterly and annual revenue goals.
- Conduct regular business agenda reviews and search for common ground to provide value added services to the clients by enabling VISA products and solutions.
- Participate in sales events, conferences, to promote our brand and generate leads.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Basic Qualifications
10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD
- Relevant Bachelor´s degree required, MBA preferred.
- Extensive financial industry expertise, knowledge of payment and cards acceptance and business development experience.
- Acquirer, co-brand and retail experience, besides consulting previous functions highly desired.
- Excellent negotiation and closing skills, strong interpersonal and communication skills and, ability to build rapport with customers.
- Conduct thorough research on market trends, competitors, and industry developments to stay ahead of the curve.
