Large multinational company in the vegetable food production sector is looking for a BDM to act in Brazil. The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities within the Brazilian market. This role involves building strong relationships with key stakeholders, understanding market trends, and driving new sales growth through strategic planning and execution. The BDM will play a critical role in expanding the company's market presence and achieving sales targets. Looking for a BDM with a 'hunter mentality' to grow our customer base. Should be entrepreneurial, ambitious, dynamic, success driven, looking to build a long-term career. We are looking for candidates preferably in São Paulo, but open to candidates from other states. Responsibilities • Conduct market research to identify all potential customers, assess market trends and present the corresponding report. • Analyze competitors, market price and industry developments to stay informed about market conditions • Establish relationships and secure contracts directly with new suppliers and customers • Achieve assigned sales quotas and targets • Drive the entire sales cycle from initial customer engagement to a closed sales program • Prospect for new customers within a commercial strategy that the incumbent would participate and contribute to establish. • Consult with customers & prospects about current business challenges and requirements • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations to Retail's decision-makers • Draft and deliver commercial proposals • Perform costing analysis • Work with technical and product specialists where required to address customer requirements • Collaborate with the product development team to tailor offerings to meet client needs • Coordinate with the operations team to ensure seamless delivery and service to clients • Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment • Conduct all sales activities with the highest degree of professionalism and integrity Requirements • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field. • With established and good commercial relationships with Supermarket chains in Brazil • Minimum 5 years of experience in retail frozen food sales • Brazilian experience required as will be selling to corporate Brazil offices • Understanding of operations and international supply chain a must • Fluent in Brazilian Portuguese (written/spoken), conversational in English (written/spoken) • Willing to travel throughout Brazil, and internationally as required • Entrepreneurial in nature with the will to succeed • Good communicator with the ability to close deals • Analytical and driven • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Strong negotiator and self-motivated • Able to prospect (in person) and gain market knowledge and insights • Ability to pivot to customer's needs • Capable of presenting to decision-makers and executives • Good organizational skills and attention to detail
