This position requires a thorough understanding of renewable energy markets, regulations, and certification schemes. The Business Development Manager will work closely with various stakeholders to develop strategies that support sustainability goals and regulatory compliance. They will form part of the wider Global Carbon community and will work closely with the Advisory and Climate: Decarbonisation Business Line.Key ResponsibilitiesClient Consultation and Advisory: Advise clients on the selection, purchase, and management of EACs. Provide guidance on regulatory requirements and market trends. Develop customised strategies to help clients meet their sustainability targets. Market Analysis:Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify trends and opportunities in the EAC market. Monitor regulatory changes and their impact on EACs and renewable energy markets. Provide clients with insights and updates on market developments. Portfolio Management: Assist clients in building and managing their EAC portfolios. Ensure accurate tracking, reporting, and retirement of EACs. Develop and implement risk management strategies for EAC investments. Stakeholder Engagement:Liaise with energy producers, utilities, certification bodies, and regulatory agencies. Foster relationships with key industry stakeholders to stay informed on best practices and new developments. Represent clients in discussions with regulatory bodies and market participants. Education and Training:Conduct training sessions and workshops for clients and internal teams. Develop educational materials and resources on EACs and renewable energy markets. Keep clients and team members informed on evolving industry standards and practices. Sustainability Reporting:Support clients in integrating EACs into their sustainability reporting frameworks. Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation for compliance and disclosure purposes.
