Job Description:
Quality Connect Staffing is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Buyer for our client, a leading FOOD MANUFACTURER in South Africa.
As the Buyer, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing high-quality PEANUTS products from farmers and producers for our client's retail and manufacturing operations.
This is a full-time position based in Brazil.
(Client is also open to applicants based in South Africa and Argentina)
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure the best quality and pricing for PEANUTS products
Identify new suppliers and negotiate contracts to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms
Monitor market trends and adjust purchasing strategies accordingly
Collaborate with the sales team to forecast demand and plan inventory levels
Review and analyze sales data to make informed purchasing decisions
Work closely with the warehouse team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products
Resolve any issues or discrepancies with orders and shipments
Stay up-to-date with industry developments and regulations related to PEANUTS products
Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier information
Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and reduce costs
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
Minimum of 2 years of experience in purchasing, preferably in the food industry
Strong negotiation and communication skills
Knowledge of supply chain and inventory management principles
Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory management software
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Willingness to travel for supplier visits and industry events
Knowledge of PEANUTS products and the South African market is a plus
