Project Kuiper will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.The Project Kuiper North America Consumer team is looking for a talented individual to lead Canada strategy. This role is responsible for launching consumer products and services. You will have a high degree of ownership as you define target customer segments, product positioning, and service launch plans. You will work closely with Product, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Legal, Global Planning and Operations, Customer Service, Field Services, and more. A successful candidate will be both entrepreneurial, highly analytical, and able to work extremely effectively in a matrixed organization. We are looking for someone customer obsessed and technology savvy with a proven track record of leading new initiatives, especially related to consumer products and services. You will be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment—all while ensuring a successful service launch in Canada.Export Control Requirement:This position may require access to information, technology, or hardware that is subject to export control laws and regulations, including the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). As such, the successful candidate must be eligible to obtain any necessary export licenses or approvals based on their nationality, citizenship, and any other factors considered by the applicable export control regulations.Key job responsibilitiesDevelop the strategy, business models, and distribution plans to launch consumer broadband products and services in Canada.Generate in-depth analysis and insights to define target customer segments and develop product positioning.Evaluate competitive landscape and benchmark service plans, pricing, features, and partnerships to guide product roadmap.Own service-launch readiness for Canada and lead cross-functional team across product, sales, marketing, operations, business, legal, finance, and other partner teams.Deliver comprehensive, written strategy documents considering different types of data and inputs across a broad range of stakeholders.Prepare detailed business cases for justification of new opportunities.Partner with legal, tax and regulatory to engage in business partnerships and local regulatory efforts.Once operational, launch next generation service offers and features; and deliver a fantastic customer experience.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS5+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience.5+ years of professional or military experience.Bachelor's degree.Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level.Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience interpreting data and making business recommendations.Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements.5+ years in technology, media, or telecommunications; satellite internet; or subscription services.Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
