As part of the Operations Department in a multinational company, you will be moving freight from all over the world and dealing with all aspects of quoting, forwarding, customs, and third parties through to completion. You will be responsible for: Researching and planning the most appropriate and cost-effective route for shipment.Negotiating contracts, transportation, and handling costs.Checking and preparing documentation to meet customs and insurance requirements, packaging specifications, and compliance with overseas countries' regulations and fiscal regimes.Liaising with and managing third parties in accordance with customer requirements.Arranging insurance and assisting the client in the event of a claim.Communicating with the customer, maintaining visibility and control through all phases of the journey, including the production of management reports and statistical analysis.Being the backup for customs formalities or subcontracting services.Providing quotations to existing clients, new clients, and agents.Helping and supporting local business development opportunities.What we need from you: Previous experience in the freight forwarding industry.Fluency in both written and spoken English and Italian.A high level of energy with a "can-do" positive attitude and entrepreneurial spirit.Eligibility to work in Italy is essential.What we can offer you: Training and development.Friendly, fun, and relaxed culture.Access to OIA University with thousands of courses for personal and professional development.Milestone recognition and participation in various employee recognition competitions.
