Job Description Job Summary: PSA BDP is looking for a Project Cargo Specialist to join our logistics operations team.
This position will be responsible for managing and executing special project cargo transportation operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance with international and national regulations.
The ideal candidate has extensive experience in handling complex logistics operations, excellent planning and problem-solving skills, and strong technical knowledge of multimodal transportation (sea, air, and road).
Essential Functions: Plan and coordinate project cargo transportation operations from planning to execution, ensuring deadlines and budget compliance.
Prepare plans and presentation to sell solutions for our customers and prospect new ones.
Develop and implement customized logistics solutions for oversized or special cargo requirements.
Manage all operational aspects, including needs assessment, route planning, obtaining special permits, and negotiating with transportation and service providers.
Collaborate with sales, procurement, and operations teams to ensure alignment in project cargo activities.
Monitor cargo movements during transportation to ensure compliance with local and international regulations.
Prepare and manage budgets, ensuring cost control and maximizing operational efficiency.
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and specialized transportation partners for project cargo.
Perform risk analysis and ensure the implementation of mitigation measures during operations.
Keep up to date with market trends and propose innovations to optimize processes and increase PSA BDP's competitiveness in this segment.
Comply with all applicable safety, health, and environmental regulations related to logistics operations.
This is a presencial hole that will be allocated in São Caetano do Sul office.
Exemption Type Exempt (Salaried) Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Logistics, International Trade, or related fields.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in project cargo logistics operations, preferably within a freight forwarder or logistics operator.
Deep knowledge of regulations for special or oversized cargo transportation in both national and international contexts.
Familiarity with the supply chain and management of multimodal transport (air, sea, road).
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build relationships with suppliers and clients.
Analytical skills and the ability to manage complex and large-scale projects.
Proficiency in English (written and spoken); other languages are a plus.
Availability to travel nationally and internationally as needed.
