We are looking for a dedicated professional to join our team as a Cargo Readiness Assistant!This is an opportunity for someone who wants to contribute to high-level logistics operations, ensuring that our processes meet quality and safety standards.The Cargo Readiness Team plays a crucial role in logistics and maritime transport, ensuring that cargo is ready to be loaded efficiently and on time.The team's main activities include:Cargo Process CoordinationMonitoring Cargo Receipt and Movement: Monitoring the arrival of cargo at the terminal, its movement within the warehouses and its correct arrangement for loading onto vessels.Deadline Control: Ensuring that cargo is ready and released within the deadlines set for shipment, according to the vessel's cut-off window.Incident Management and Rapid SolutionsManagement of Unforeseen Events: Acting swiftly in the face of problems such as a lack of EDI, delays in cargo arrival, technical problems at terminals or customs issues.Communication with Clients and Partners: Maintaining active communication with clients, terminals, carriers and freight forwarders to resolve any issue that may impact the shipment of cargo.Coordination with Logistics Operators and TerminalsCoordination with Zim Logistics Operators: Working together with the Operations Team, port terminals and other Carriers to ensure that the cargo is ready to be loaded.Interface with Terminals and Shipowners: Guarantee the availability of space on ships and ensure that cargo is allocated appropriately.Capacity Planning and Cargo AllocationCargo Forecasting: Planning the amount of containers that will be needed for deadline extension requests, coordinating with different teams to ensure that all resources and space on the vessels are adequate for the demand.Reporting and Indicator ControlMonitoring KPIs: Controlling key performance indicators (KPIs), such as cargo readiness time, percentage of cargo ready on time, and efficiency in shipping processes.Reporting: Drawing up regular reports on the status of loads for BU, identifying possible bottlenecks or opportunities for improvement in the logistics process.Coordination with the Sales and Customer Service TeamCustomer Support: Work with the sales and customer service teams to ensure that customers' needs are met and that they are informed about the status of their shipments.Customer support for BL Draft Extension or LAR request: Assist with extension scheduling when necessary, ensuring that documentation and shipment deadlines are managed properly.In summary, the cargo readiness team is responsible for ensuring that all aspects related to cargo preparation and documentation are organised and ready for shipment, minimising delays and improving operational efficiency.If you identify with this opportunity and are ready to take the next step in your career, we want to meet you!Come and become a ZIMMER!Requirements:Upper intermediate to advanced English levelOffice 365 mainly Excel and WordCustomer Service ExperienceFunction:Countries & Business DevelopmentPublish in Internal Career Page:No#J-18808-Ljbffr
