Cargo Supervisor

Mission: In charge of maintenance of deck and cargo associated equipment, including structure. Loading and offloading program under OTS supervision. In charge of order request and follow up for deck and cargo system. In charge of inspection and maintenance reports for all deck and cargo systems. Supervision of cargo team (pumpmen). Cargo system routine maintenance preparation and follow up. Cargo transfer and handling procedure and follow up. Competency: Knowledge of class and international and rules applicable to F(P)SO. Operational control of trim, stability and stress, including in case of structural damage. Operational handling of cargo (Inert gas system, venting system, cargo pump…). Knowledge of F(P)SO construction, inspection and reporting of structural defects. Monitor and control safe practices. Knowledge of interrelationship between marine operation and specific production activities. Qualifications & Experience: 5 years of higher education. Minimum experience required 5 years. Oil tanker training program qualification (STCW A-V 1-1-2). Basic safety training. Advanced firefighting training. Survival craft training. First aid training. Be capable of communicating proficiently in written and spoken English and Portuguese.
