The Risk Management South America team provides a wide range of advisory safety engineering and risk management services to the energy industry, for CAPEX and OPEX projects, in Brazil and worldwide.
The Senior CFD Consultant is expected to liaise with and support several customers and stakeholders including regulatory agencies mainly in the upstream segments, but also in midstream and downstream segments, and tackle energy transition topics, such as CCS and Hydrogen.
The Senior CFD Consultant reports to a Team Leader and has responsibility for technical delivery of projects with collaboration of other team members and has technical leadership of more junior consultants besides project management.
The role includes customer interaction to find solutions to their challenges and discuss project schedule/delivery, technical issues and solutions.
The Senior CFD Consultant will have the opportunity to interact with customers and other offices globally.

Minimum Requirements:
Graduated in Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical desirable), for at least 6 years (mandatory).
M.Sc., Safety Eng.
Post-Graduation or related (desirable).
Experience in CFD Advanced Modeling for Quantitative risk analysis such as Fire and Explosion analysis, Gas Detectors allocation, Flame Detection Allocation, Exhaust and Vent dispersion, Smoke and Gas Dispersion, Flare Radiation Analysis and Helideck Turbulence Analysis.
Experience in CFD tools such as FLACS and KFX (very desirable).
Experience in CFD tools such as Ansys Fluent or CFX.
Familiarity with Process Safety (PSM) and Qualitative Risk Analysis (such as HAZOP, HAZID, etc).
Experience in Vulnerability Analysis (PHAST), QRA (SAFETI) will be considered a differential.
Familiar with Brazilian regulations (onshore and offshore) - Petrobras Safety Guidelines, ANP and NRs.
Experience in upstream, downstream and midstream.
Knowledge in programming languages: VBA, Python and Digitalization mindset will be considered a differential.
Besides Portuguese, fluent in English (mandatory).
Spanish will be considered a plus.
