St Nicholas Pinheiros is seeking a Chemistry teacher to support learning in our Secondary section from late July 2025. Main responsibilities within the role: To participate in collaborative planning, preparation, and organisation of teaching and learning based on International Baccalaureate Programmes (The Middle Years Programme and the Diploma Programme), to reflect individual students' needs. To implement both the IB Middle Years Programme and the IB Diploma Programme in both General Science and Chemistry, while supporting other elements of the IB Core such as Community, Activity and Service, the Extended Essay and Theory of Knowledge. Contributing to unit plans for both interdisciplinary and subject-specific units; To apply the best pedagogical practice, based on a detailed knowledge of a range of appropriate teaching and learning strategies curated for the MYP/DP classroom. To be enthusiastic and proactive about professional development and show a commitment to developing your practice and that of your colleagues. To actively support all learners based on their individual needs and liaise with relevant professionals where necessary. To be part of the Pastoral team in Secondary School and engage with the holistic nature of learning in the school. To liaise with the Heads of Faculty, the MYP Coordinator, the DP Coordinator, the Head of Secondary, and the Personalized Learning team. Required Skills and Attributes: Fluency in English (verbal and written) (Essential). A relevant degree in the subject and an internationally recognized teaching qualification (Essential). Experience teaching the MYP and/or DP (Desirable). A commitment to inquiry-based learning and alignment with the school's vision and mission (Essential).
