Position Objective: The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is the leader responsible for the strategic and operational management of the financial area of the Brazil operation, including regulatory compliance, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), accounting, audits, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and relationships with financial institutions. This executive will work closely with the COO and CEO, acting as a strategic partner to senior management, ensuring financial sustainability and alignment with business objectives while fostering a culture of innovation and customer focus. Main Responsibilities: 1. Financial Management: Oversee all financial operations of the company, including accounting, treasury, and tax compliance, ensuring the robustness and integrity of financial reports. Develop and implement financial policies and procedures that ensure compliance with accounting standards and local and international regulations. 2. Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A): Lead the budget planning process, including the preparation of detailed financial forecasts and variance analyses. Analyze financial and market data to provide strategic insights that support decision-making and contribute to the company's sustainable growth. 3. Accounting and Audits: Manage the accounting team, ensuring the accuracy of financial records and monthly reports. Coordinate internal and external audits, serving as a liaison between the finance team and auditors to ensure transparency and compliance. 4. Mergers and Acquisitions: Drive M&A activities by conducting financial due diligence, valuation analyses, and integration planning, supporting the company's growth strategy. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to evaluate potential acquisition targets and assess the financial implications of strategic initiatives. 5. Regulatory Compliance: Monitor changes in tax and accounting regulations, implementing policies that ensure the company complies with all legal requirements. Serve as a reference point for issues related to financial governance and compliance. 6. Global Reporting: Collaborate with global finance teams to ensure alignment with international financial reporting standards and contribute to global financial strategies and objectives. Prepare comprehensive reports for global stakeholders, presenting key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial insights. 7. Strategic Business Contribution: Act as a strategic partner to the COO and CEO, contributing to business decisions through the analysis of budgets, forecasts, and operational performance. Foster relationships with financial institutions, negotiating terms and securing financing to support business initiatives. 8. Team Management: Lead, train, and develop the finance team, fostering an innovative and customer-focused mindset. Innovation and Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for innovation in all aspects of financial operations, continuously seeking new methods and technologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Strategic Vision: Collaborate with senior leadership to align financial strategy with the company's long-term vision, translating strategic objectives into measurable financial goals. Act as a trusted advisor on strategic financial matters, influencing the direction of the company in critical initiatives. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, or a related field; an MBA or professional certification (CFA, CPA) is a plus. Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial roles, with at least 5 years in leadership positions at the C-level. In-depth knowledge of FP&A, accounting, audits, M&A, and experience working within matrix structures. Familiarity with Brazilian and international financial laws and regulations. Proven ability to work collaboratively with other C-level executives and influence decision-making.
