Business Management activities are part of the first line of defense which ensures our organization puts the right controls in place to reduce business risk and empower decision making. The role of a business manager is dynamic and can vary from business to business which CO-D Control Management Organization supports. If you have a passion for strategy, executive story-telling, analytics and the ability to effectively communicate to Senior leadership, this is the perfect opportunity for you!As a Control Business Manager - VP, you will have the following key focus areas: The Business Management function optimizes business performance by focusing on outcomes, influencing key strategic initiatives, and driving their execution. We act as trusted advisors to the CO-D Control Manager Business Head, and are responsible for identifying, escalating, and mitigating business risks. Role is responsible to create and distribute relevant and timely information necessary for senior management/stakeholders to oversee the operational and control environment of the Operations supporting respective lines of business. This information is reviewed formally on at least a monthly basis, and is fed as necessary into other appropriate Risk and Controls Committees. Role regularly contribute metrics data and establish/review materiality thresholds, which are consolidated, aged, trended, reviewed and escalated as necessary. Controls oversight includes updates on the status of risk and performance of controls. Formal management meetings are conducted at least monthly to review aging, trends and exceptions on production, risks and controls data. Role also support day-to-day business management operations with a focus towards enhancing efficiency and lead ad-hoc special projects across the portfolio. You will be responsible for leading initiatives, analyzing data, preparing senior leadership updates, managing financial commitments, and optimizing the operating model and communication strategy. This role requires a self-starter with excellent written and oral communication skills, capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment. A strong data, analytics, or product background is important.Job responsibilitiesProduce timely presentations demonstrating brand consistency and accuracy through the ability to proof own workPromptly and effectively respond to executive ad-hoc requests for business and Risk analysis, project management, and presentation development, delivering accurate and insightful informationAssist and communicate with CO-D Leadership Team in decision-making, program management, and initiative implementation.Support strategic business initiatives, from development through successful execution, under the guidance of senior leadershipSupport the attainment of business outcomes, execution of work through close collaboration and alignment with department and support groups (Finance, Tech, CIB Operations Partners, Central Corporate Organizations, Legal, Compliance, HR, Audit)Act as trusted advisor to the Business head, and represents the Group on various forumsRepresent the business in respective internal/external working groups and the creation of high-quality communications materials for use at senior levels of the FirmEngage directly with peers to ensure understanding of the information and data being shown, exploring the best way to convey it using creativity in terms of color, imagery, layout and infographicsEmbrace and build team relationships both locally and globally, collaborating on projects as requiredIdentify, assess, advise, and drive strategic solutions to increase efficiency and create a more resilient operating environmentCollaborate with senior peers and partners within Client Onboarding & Documentation and geographiesProduce reporting (using strategic and tactical solutions) to be leveraged by all levels within Client Onboarding & Documentation.Drive the transition of manual based Excel delivery of reporting to strategic AWS / Qlik Sense platforms including the curation of data sources, modeling data for use, and visualization to provide meaningful insights.Partner with teams to develop and enhance reporting, monitor data quality and consistency, and complete ad hoc requestsIdentify areas for continued process improvement and enhance efficiencies by generating innovative ideas and solutions through use of data.Required qualifications, capabilities and skillsMinimum of 10 years of experience in the financial services industryStrong attention to detail, accurately present financial data and insightsHighly motivated self-starter with excellent time management/prioritization skills to manage competing demands.Ability to present to senior and global business heads through excellent written and oral communication skills.Able to forge strong internal relationships across a broad range of functions.Self-motivated, tenacious, and able to work with high degree of independence.Able to both define and deliver a strategic agenda across multiple groups. Excellent project management and organizational skillsAbility to drive reporting and projects individually and collaboratively with cross-organizational teams.Previous product knowledge and/or prior Business Management experience in a growth initiativeProficient in Excel, PowerPoint with excellent presentation and data visualization skillsStrong analytical, communication, leadership, and quantitative skillsTableau and/or Qlik Sense, Python, ML experience a plus
