SALES MANAGERThe Sales Manager position is responsible for the sales of offered productsand services for the company. The responsibilities of this position primarilyinclude the management of our Marketing and Sales Teams. This position requiresa strong leader with a high skill set including the abilities of developing,planning, directing, analyzing and coordinating the market expansion of VASproducts and services by applying a strategic plan.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Develop new markets and customers, with anemphasis on building lasting relationships Develop short and long term sales plans andstrategies to achieve goals Review operational records andreports to project sales and determine profitability Monitor customer preferences todetermine focus of sales efforts Identify, develop, or evaluatesales strategy, based on knowledge of establishment objectives, marketcharacteristics, and costs Confer or consult with departmentheads and marketing team to plan promotion and advertising services Evaluate the financial aspects ofproduct development, such as budgets, expenditures, research anddevelopment appropriations, or return-on-investment and profit-lossprojections Develop pricing strategies,balancing firm objectives and customer satisfaction Initiate market research studiesand analyze findings Use sales forecasting and/orstrategic planning to ensure the sale and profitability of product linesand services by analyzing business developments and monitoring markettrends Coordinate or participate inpromotional activities or trade shows, working with management and theteams to market products or services SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Manage local and regional salesstaff in the Americas region Oversee International Sales Manager for Non-Americas Oversee Marketing Manager Direct the hiring, training, orperformance evaluations of sales and oversee their daily activities Evaluate workflow of departments andensure that company's needs are met Act as liaison with customerservice concerns when needed Analyze markets for budgeting andforecasting Prepare budgets and approve budgetexpenditures for the sales teamDocument policies, procedure, and processesCommunicate and enforce company policies and/orprocedures Establish strong and effective workingrelationships with management teams, employees, and customers MARKET RESEARCH RESPONSIBILITIES Seek and provide information tohelp VAS determine its position in the marketplace Gather data on competitors andanalyze their prices, sales, and method of marketing and distribution Devise and evaluate methods andprocedures for collecting data, such as surveys, opinion polls, orquestionnaires, or arrange to obtain existing data Monitor industry statistics andfollow trends in trade literature Measure and assess customer andemployee satisfaction Measure the effectiveness ofmarketing, advertising, and communications programs and strategies. Forecast and track marketing andsales trends, analyzing collected data EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE The ideal candidate will have 5 to 7 years'experience working in a similar role or capacityEducation required for this position is a fouryear Bachelor's degree in the field of Business Administration, AgriculturalBusiness, Sales & Marketing or related field; or the equivalent educationand experienceMust have a minimum of 5 years' experience in amanagement capacity, with a provenability to lead peopleMust possess long and short-term planning andexecution skillsThe ability to quickly acquire and apply complexproduct knowledgeMust possess strong interpersonal skillsMust have excellent communication and presentationskillsMust have 5+ years of dairy industry experience andbe able to firmly grasp technology.
