Role Description
We are seeking an office based skilled Cloud Solutions Architect to join our
Rio/Dubai
office with a strong focus on the Microsoft stack such as Azure and power platforms including Dynamics, and cloud networking such as Unifi or Meraki.
The role involves architecting, improving, integrating and ensuring interoperability with third-party and internally developed systems.
The ideal candidate will help transition from a traditional silo IT model by leveraging modern practices and technologies through the use of DevOps tools and practices.
Principle Accountabilities:
Team Leadership and Management:
Lead and mentor a diverse team of technical engineers, promoting collaboration and professional growth while ensuring alignment with project objectives and organisational strategies.
Cloud Architecture Design:
Develop and maintain scalable, flexible cloud architectures using the full suite of tools Microsoft has to offer, working with the M365 architect to provide rounded solutions.
System Integration:
Ensure seamless integration and interoperability between Unifi, third-party, and internal systems.
Automation and DevOps:
Implement automation of infrastructure and frequent tasks to enhance efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
Culture:
Foster a DevOps culture that blurs the line between development and operations teams.
Continuous Deployment:
Utilise CI/CD practices to enable faster, more reliable solution releases.
Scalability and Flexibility:
Design systems that are adaptable to changing business needs, leveraging cloud services and microservices architecture.
Cost Management:
Optimise resource usage to ensure cost-effective solutions.
Security and Compliance:
Oversee integration of security practices throughout the development lifecycle (DevSecOps), ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Innovation and Agility:
Drive innovation by implementing cutting-edge technologies and aligning them with strategic business goals.
Strategic Focus:
Align IT strategies with business objectives, focusing on long-term outcomes rather than day-to-day operations.
Collaboration and Documentation:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and support Microsoft-based solutions, contributing to knowledge base articles, user guides, and technical documentation.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and optimization within the IT service support framework, enhancing overall efficiency and user satisfaction.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
Cloud Platforms:
In-depth knowledge of Azure services and architecture.
Business Applications:
Experience and awareness of Dynamics 365, Power Platform and related business applications.
Networking:
Familiarity with Azure Networking and cloud based infrastructure tools like Unifi or Meraki.
Integration Tools:
Knowledge of integration platforms and middleware solutions.
Development Practices:
Experience with Agile methodologies and DevSecOps.
Scripting and Automation:
Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell, Python, or similar, and infrastructure as code tools like Terraform.
Monitoring and Performance:
Experience with cloud monitoring tools and performance optimisation.
Security Protocols:
Understanding of cloud security protocols and best practices.
Team Leadership:
Extensive experience in managing and leading diverse teams of technical engineers, fostering a collaborative environment and driving successful project outcomes.
Communication Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to interact professionally with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
Qualifications/Skills:
Proven experience as a Cloud Solutions Architect or similar role, with a focus on Azure, Dynamics, and Unifi.
Strong understanding of integration and interoperability with third-party and internal systems.
Experience with DevOps practices, including automation, CI/CD, and collaboration tools.
Ability to design scalable, flexible architectures that meet evolving business requirements.
Proven ability to lead, manage, and mentor a diverse team of technical engineers, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Knowledge of security and compliance best practices.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment, with a commitment to delivering high-quality customer service and support.
