That's what makes us Roche.The Commercial Director Near Patient Care (Diabetes Care & POC Diagnostics) leads and drives the strategy and activities for the NPC sales and demand generation team. This position oversees the planning, execution, and optimization of commercial strategy operations to maximize revenue, profitability and market share. This position is responsible for leading NPC sales teams including Healthcare Solutions and Tender management to achieve sustainable, consistent sales and profit results in line with our ambition. This position promotes the growth of everyone, nurturing skills and talents.Main tasks of the position:Leads the NPC commercial and strategic planning of the portfolio under their control, including direction involving training and development of people, analysis, operational efficiency, compliance policies, procedures, and commercial policies.Fully accountable for the PnL performance of the NPC business segment.Fully accountable to support the affiliate team to achieve our goals by playing a pivotal role directly in customer meetings, opportunity reviews and planning sessions.Champion the execution of Roche's innovative integrated Diagnostic solutions, in collaboration with internal networks and stakeholders, with the goal of delivering value to healthcare and patients.Create and develop strategies to effectively position our value proposition for the Customer for C-Suite, and other Decision-Making stakeholders.Responsible for her/his Customers and/or areas of responsibility, ensuring sustainable pricing, revenue growth, profitability and equitable risk-sharing agreements as required.Advocates for innovation, operational excellence, and best practices throughout the business organization you support. Prioritizes the sale of solutions and products to contribute to portfolio expansion and market creation.Promotes cross-divisional communication and strategic planning to maximize total product portfolio penetration. Ensures that all key strategies are executed as designed.Builds strong relationships and recognition of Roche with stakeholders in the healthcare market. Guide/provide recommendations to the Leadership Team for the development of new business areas/accounts, as well as identify opportunities and possible changes in existing areas based on market conditions.Defines and shapes ways of working in a multifunctional organization focused on the customer and prioritizing the simplification and empowerment of all its employees.Leads, develops, and monitors your direct team, ensuring efficient operation and planning changes in the business and their implications for the organization's structure.Ensure compliance standards into his/her team and with external stakeholders.Define the organizational structure, assign the necessary responsibilities for implementation, and oversee compliance with the Global SHE Policy.Stay informed about relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards affecting commercial activities.Qualifications of the position:Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.Significant experience in commercial and business development leadership positions and deep knowledge and experience within Diabetes Care, Point of Care and/or Medical Devices.Track record of delivering outstanding results through careful planning, innovative approaches, and skillful adjustments and of success in a matrix organization, with demonstrated experience in orchestrating strong collaboration amongst Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Medical & Regulatory teams.Advanced English proficiency (written and oral) is a requirement, Spanish is a plus.Strong strategic thinking skills and high business acumen. Ability to define medium-long term strategic plan while delivering on short term results and quick wins.Proven people management skills with experience of mentoring, coaching, leading, developing and evaluating direct and indirect reports, peers and colleagues.Strong financial and commercial acumen, including the ability to interpret and make recommendations/decisions based on data.Creative thinker with a strategic mindset.Strong stakeholder management skills, well organized with ability to prioritize, able to simultaneously initiate, motivate, lead and complete multiple tasks without direct authority.Excellent leadership, negotiation and influencing skills. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
