The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience in KYC, CDD/EDD and AML/FT and Sanctions' regulations, particularly within the Argentinean and Brazilian crypto markets.What You'll Be Doing Draft, maintain and advise on regional compliance policies and procedures in accordance with local Argentinean and Brazilian regulationsReview escalations from KYC, KYB and CDD/EDD Teams related to customers' onboarding processes and ongoing transaction monitoringMonitor transactions and general customer's activities for potential suspicious behaviour and perform financial crime investigations and reporting when necessaryAssist Central Compliance in the strategic design, implementation and oversight of the Global Compliance ProgramProvide timely guidance to stakeholders such as Product, Engineering and Operations' Teams and act as a point of escalation for complex regional compliance issuesConduct compliance risk assessments and create reports for management to evaluate the effectiveness of the local compliance programsIdentify and assess process gaps, improve reporting capabilities, and recommend corrective actions in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentStay current with global, regional and jurisdictional emerging trends and regulatory developments in the crypto industry, with a focus on Argentina and BrazilWhat We Look For In You Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience; advanced degrees or certifications in compliance are a plusProven experience in AML/FT & Sanctions in compliance roles within traditional financial services, fintech companies or crypto exchangesStrong understanding of LATAM regulatory requirements and compliance challenges with a special emphasis on Argentina and BrazilExperience overseeing processes, leading KYC, CDD/EDD initiatives and conducting investigationsExcellent analytical, research and due diligence skills with the ability to interpret complex regulationsStrong communication and presentation abilities, both oral and written, in Portuguese, Spanish and EnglishDemonstrated ability to work independently, collaboratively and efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven team environmentSolid understanding of the crypto industry and familiarity with global work environments#J-18808-Ljbffr
