To ensure compliant conduct, Group-wide minimum compliance requirements were created, namely Compliance Management System (CMS), a methodological framework for the structured implementation of the early warning, risk control, advisory, and monitoring functions within Munich Re.
The local Compliance function at Munich Re acts as a business partner and trusted advisor to support steering of Group based on adequate and structured information.We offer a hybrid work on a part time contract (20h/week) and are looking for a highly motivated individual to support the local Internal Controls Director and the Regional Compliance Officer on compliance activities at Munich Re do Brasil Resseguradora S.A.Your Job:Based in São Paulo and reporting to the Internal Controls Director, the Compliance Officer role will focus on the mitigation of compliance risks and ensuring appropriate compliance with all necessary laws and regulations relevant to Munich Re do Brasil in a proactive and risk-based manner.Your major tasks:Actively promote a positive Compliance culture within the company.
Act as a point of contact on regulatory matters, providing advice on Compliance matters to management and staff.Identify, assess, monitor and report the compliance risks.Develop Compliance processes in accordance with Group Compliance & Legal (GCL) requirements and ensure they meet local laws, regulatory requirements, and the regulators' expectations.Undertake Compliance oversight and monitoring to assist stakeholders to comply with legislative and other requirements.Prepare Compliance management reports (regular and ad hoc) to Management, the Regional Compliance Manager (RCM), GCL and Audit Committee to ensure appropriate transparency and information flow.Track legal changes and ensure an early warning on new legal and regulatory requirements and other internal or external regulations to advise management appropriately.Advise and support executives and (senior) management to achieve targets in a sustainable and compliant manner by acting as a trusted business partner, yet preserving professional independence.Maintenance of risk governance framework locally.Your Profile:General understanding of the Compliance requirements in the financial / insurance / reinsurance sector.Knowledge of insurance / reinsurance regulations.Knowledge of Local General Data Protection Requirements (LGPD).Knowledge of ESG is a differential.Agile method knowledge is desirable.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Business-fluent written and spoken English.Outstanding academic profile with a university degree in Law, Business Administration or equivalent preferred.#J-18808-Ljbffr
