Languages:English and PortugueseJob Description:Our client, a global leader in the automotive industry, is seeking a highly skilledCompliance Officerto join their team in the São Paulo area.The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the company's compliance programs, requiring a deep understanding of legal frameworks and corporate governance, ensuring the organisation adheres to both local and international laws and industry standards.Key Responsibilities:Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies, particularly focusing on anti-bribery and corruption.
Ensure adherence to local and international regulatory requirements, particularly those affecting the automotive industry.
Conduct risk assessments and monitor compliance activities to identify potential legal and regulatory risks.
Lead internal investigations related to compliance violations and ensure timely and appropriate remediation actions.
Provide training and guidance to employees on compliance issues, legal obligations, and regulatory requirements.
Stay updated on the latest legal developments in compliance and automotive regulations, ensuring the company is proactive in maintaining compliance.
Collaborate with internal departments, including legal, finance, and HR, to ensure a unified approach to compliance.
Report regularly to senior management on the status of the compliance program, providing updates on any risks or breaches.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Lawor related field; a legal background is essential.
At least5 years of experiencein legal compliance, with a focus on anti-bribery, corruption, and regulatory compliance.
Prior experience in theautomotive industryis highly desirable.
Strong understanding of both Brazilian and international regulatory frameworks.
Demonstrated ability to handle complex compliance issues and investigations.
Fluency inEnglishandPortuguese(both written and spoken).
Strong analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset.
