Job DescriptionConstruction Manager monitors and refines long-range and short-term plans to ensure success of the construction project. Construction Manager directs and coordinates day-to-day activities in the field, manages and coordinates flow of information, manages and controls schedule, implements and monitors safety programs, and verifies that completed work is constructed to a quality level consistent with the requirements of the construction documents.
Construction Manager works directly for the PM supporting strategic and tactical delivery of project(s).
QualificationsThe successful candidate will:
Set up chair and minute all client meetings and make sure all stakeholders are informed.Reporting on a weekly basis to the PM of scope, budget and schedule status, and any other issues arising related to the construction contractsLiaise with the Client, Professional Team and Contractor to establish all key project processes and monitor these processes reporting and making recommendations to the Client.Engage FAT / SAT attendance and Vendor attendance to site as appropriateLiaise with the Client, Professional Team, Engineer of Record, A/E and Contractors to establish, review and regularly update the Project Risk Register. Agree and monitor Risk Mitigation Plans and provide input into quantitative risk analysis reviews.Initiate any actions/escalations such as acceleration programs for tasks falling behind and impacting critical pathMonitor and report on Commissioning process, checking that the Commissioning Agent has developed a Commissioning Plan and all necessary test sheets and documentationLiaise with the DC Operations team to coordinate their involvement in all installation, commissioning, and snagging activities.Coordinate all parties to complete Practical Completion documentation and that all manuals are submitted and approved to an agreed scheduleLiaise with Integration Lead to develop and manage the Integration planCoordinate processes of issuance of RFI´s, submittals, transmittals and other documents that must be revised and approvedon time, so the schedule does not get impacted Education/Experience: Bachelor in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. Lean Construction Certification and/or PMP Certification is a plus. 5-7 years of experience in similar responsibilities.Mission critical experience a plus.Strong Verbal and Written Communication Skills in Spanish and English.Additional InformationOur inspired people share our vision and mission.
