This is an entry-level position, and the Consultant will primarily support client teams in the execution of various strategic communications consulting programs simultaneously, across all the different offerings, including crisis communications, public & government affairs, reputation building, financial communications and change management. Given the diverse nature of the work, we are looking for someone who has flexibility, go-getter mentality and is willing to learn and work with different subjects, offerings and industries. This is a very hands-on position, requiring a high level of organization and also that the Consultant keeps up-to-date on key issues and events impacting clients, as well as the general news. As many of the clients are not based in Brazil, the position requires full professional fluency, speaking and writing, in English. This is a hybrid position, the Consultant will be expected to be at the office at least three times a week (Tuesdays to Thursdays), and in-person meetings with clients might happen occasionally.What You'll DoIn this role, the Consultant will develop knowledge of clients' objectives and challenges as well as business and political issues to help the client team design communications strategies and execute program tactics. Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to, the following:Research on topics such as market issues, public policies and legislations, client challenges and stakeholders, and competitive landscapes;Follow market trends;Prepare daily media monitoring analytical reports for clients;Prepare regulatory monitoring reports for clients;Draft a variety of client materials (e.g., strategic memos, press releases, presentations, position and policy papers, emails, media reports, media pitches, social media posts and internal communications content, etc.) in a timely and efficient manner, under the direction of senior team members;Assist with ongoing program measurement and progress report development;Research appropriate target media for clients, and develop and maintain media lists;Manage the proper functionality of third-party media tools and media subscriptions;Address client issues thoughtfully and effectively;Deliver high-quality work focused on client needs;Evaluate results against objectives;Assist in successfully growing existing accounts;Contribute to the professional development and performance review process for interns, as needed; andDemonstrate a high level of integrity and ask the necessary questions to manage firm and client data responsibly.Additional DutiesBusiness DevelopmentNurture solid relationships with clients;Work with managers to help clients assess their needs;Contribute to the development of new business proposals and presentations, including research support.How You'll GrowThis is a great opportunity to strengthen your understanding of how strategic communications are for the various businesses and use this knowledge to help build best-in-class programs. In addition, developing strong interpersonal skills by working closely with members of the FTI team, in Brazil and abroad, and your clients on a day-to-day basis.What You Will Need To SucceedBasic QualificationsOne plus year of professional work experience in corporate communications, media relations, public relations, or related field;Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Public Relations, International Relations, Political Science, Law, Economics or related;Full professional fluency, speaking and writing, in English is required;Ability to attend client meetings, events and to work at FTI office in São Paulo. Travel outside São Paulo will not be frequent.Preferred QualificationsA strong work ethic and an ability to be a self-starter.
