The role
As part of the Finance and Controlling team, the Controllership Specialist will report to the Controllership Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing, controlling, and verifying all activities regarding the accounting area. This role will be responsible for preparing the accounting entries, reconciliations, payroll (validation and accounting entries), bonus calculation, Income Tax calculation, internal controls report, participating in the activity of closing the month, and all other demands inherent to the accounting area for Markem-Imaje in Brazil.
What you'll do:
Preparation of financial statements and collaboration with consulting teams.
Revise the transfer price calculation and adjustments based on group report.
Key user in unitary or integrated tests in SAP whenever requested.
Strict adherence to monthly and quarterly corporate closing calendars.
Prepare all reconciliations ensuring compliance and deadlines with corporate.
Generate analytical reports and work with databases.
Prepare all tests of internal controls (Brazil and Argentina) within the Audit Board system.
Analyze accounting and share results of FA, payroll, bonus calculation, and NRE report with leadership.
Accountable for the calculation and recording of direct taxes "LALUR".
Support leadership during internal and external audits.
Prepare manual journal entries (Blackline).
Oversee and control Fixed Assets, meticulously organizing and recording within SAP, particularly focusing on maintaining internal controls related to Printing Service activities.
Participate actively in all phases of month-end closing, ensuring deadlines are met according to the Dover calendar.
Collaborate with other companies within the group, fostering a high level of integration.
What you need to have:
Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Economics. Postgraduate degree in accounting (preferred but not mandatory).
Strong knowledge of SAP, especially FI (FA) and CO.
Experience in multinational environments.
Solid knowledge of local accounting obligations, ECD, BACEN.
Familiarity with IFRS/US GAAP and their impacts on accounting.
Full professional English proficiency (meetings within corporate team).
Profound understanding of local and statutory supplementary accounting obligations.
Advanced Excel skills (Power BI is a plus).
Analytical, organized, and disciplined.
Responsible and able to meet corporate delivery deadlines.
Demonstrates high responsibility in executing assigned activities.
Excellent relationship with other areas and effective communication skills.
Results-oriented, with leadership skills, ability to perform under pressure, proactivity, and effective teamwork capabilities.
