Cost Controller (Shipping)

Contribute to the development of Fleet related budgets.Communicate with key stakeholders regarding budget status and ensure the correct budget cost allocation is implemented.Monitor overall operating expenditures within Fleet to ensure that they are within the approved budget.Conduct cost analysis and review expense reports regularly to identify areas where costs can be reduced or eliminated altogether.Identify potential cost overruns and recommend corrective action to management for implementation.Interface with the Head of Technical to obtain information necessary for cost control purposes.Prepare periodic reports detailing costs and cost-to-complete estimates.Provide cost control expertise and guidance across the Fleet Technical function and continuously drive cost control improvements in adherence with applicable policies and procedures.Develop and ensure compliance with company policies pertaining to management of costs, ensuring alignment of budget, business commitment, and cost, while observing company processes in relation to financial data validation.Develop and maintain cost control systems and procedures to ensure consistency within the Fleet environment.Develop and implement realistic and sustainable plans for the delivery of cost control within the Fleet department and for improvement in service quality and business satisfaction.Identify and resolve current and emerging issues to improve the quality and efficacy of cost control as a value-added function to Fleet Technical teams.Ensure that the company financial policies, procedures, and internal controls are effectively implemented in delivering cost control activities.#J-18808-Ljbffr
