What you will doThe Role of External Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in Procurement and Supply Chain with Support from the Costdrivers GEP System An external Subject Matter Expert (SME) is a professional with specialized knowledge and expertise in a specific area who is not directly employed by the company that engages them. In procurement and supply chain, SMEs can provide strategic support to the Costdrivers GEP system, adding value in several key areas:
Industry Knowledge: External SMEs possess deep industry expertise and can offer insights into past and current trends, helping companies anticipate challenges and opportunities in the market.
Objective Perspective: Being external to the organization, SMEs bring an unbiased view of procurement processes and company performance. This includes identifying operational gaps, improvement opportunities, and benchmarking against competitors.
Access to Specialized Knowledge: Partnering with SMEs grants access to advanced information and techniques, enriching cost and performance analyses within the Costdrivers GEP system.
Enhanced Content Quality: SMEs' involvement in building databases, parameters, and benchmarks directly improves the accuracy and applicability of results provided by the platform.
