MISSION
DGU GEM is within GEM (Global Energy Management), responsible for the definition of the data strategy and IT landscape that better addresses business requirements aligned with the Corporate IT Reference Architecture and Security Policies, providing and supporting solutions, data and reporting to the business functions.
As a Data & AI Governance Specialist, you will play a key role in enabling our vision of a data-led culture, enabling actionable insights, better business decisions, and operational excellence through trusted and accessible data.
Within the IT & Data team of GEM, you will support the CDO, working closely with the Data & AI Center of Competence and Data Officers and Data Owners to ensure the local implementation of Data Management and Governance policies and processes in worldwide gross markets related to data.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
Supervise and support the implementation of Data & AI Governance and Quality policies, processes and roles aligned with organization ambitious goals.
Create and maintain comprehensive functional and technical documentation for all data & AI governance initiatives, changes, and implementations.
Work closely with Data Owners to define data governance standards and policies.
Support and coach Data Owners and Stewards on data governance principles and standards and ensure proficiency in Data Management tools.
Ensure data is managed according to principles, guidelines and processes defined.
Monitor and improve data quality across the organization.
Develop and maintain data quality metrics and reports to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
REQUIRED PROFILE
ACADEMIC SKILLS:
Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, systems engineering, business management, or related field.
LANGUAGE:
Excellent written and spoken Spanish and English.
Additional languages are a plus.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
At least 3 years' experience in data management projects; experience designing and implementing analytical data systems, as a data engineer.
Real-time data processing experience is a plus; Microsoft/Azure ecosystem knowledge is a plus; experience of working in a data office, data governance or data management role; experience of implementing data & AI governance glossaries, data dictionaries, data catalogues in reference Data Governance Tools (e.g.
Purview); experience of designing and/or implementing data & AI policies and standards, and measuring adherence; experience of data quality definition, monitoring and remediation.
KNOWLEDGE:
Strong knowledge of data management and data governance best practices (DAMA); knowledge on the definition, implementation and management of the AI Models lifecycle (AI Governance) and productization using MLOps is a plus; energy markets business awareness/business domain knowledge (a plus); experience in working in an enterprise data model definition; knowledge of ethical and regulatory risks in relation to AI; strong knowledge on the implementation of data pipelines and related technologies such as SQL, Databricks or DataFactory.

Excellent analytic and structuring capability; proactive, autonomy, strong sense of responsibility and resilience; strong value realization, collaboration, communication, negotiation, influence and strategic vision.
COMPETENCIES:
Strong stakeholder engagement and change management skills; experience of maintaining information and documentation using collaboration tools; strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence others to achieve objectives; experience of working in a complex global organization; able to work in a multi-project environment.
