Job Title: Data & Analytics (SAP BW) Sr Purpose of the Job: Design data models, gather stakeholder requirements, write code, maintain data documentation, communicate results, and collaborate with team members. Standardize projects to support business requirements and create value by enhancing communication between data and business. The Functional Engineer in IT - Delivery is responsible for detailing design and hardwiring business requirements as per Architectural and Security guidelines. This is done through projects, changes, and increasingly more through Agile DevOps. This requires high-quality Stories (change specifications) and project changes which will allow Engineers and Developers to translate into code/configuration. The Functional Engineer coordinates, reviews, approves, and executes stories/project changes, monitors status, and manages change once developed, including organizing sign-off after testing. The Functional Engineer also prepares and executes actual changes together with partners and external consultants where applicable. They may be involved in solving urgent high-priority incidents and process improvements alongside the business, with a primary focus on high-scale projects. Responsibilities: Project Support: Support a project manager by taking ownership of specific project deliverables (specifications, config, testing, etc.). Define, plan, manage, and participate in assigned project deliverables in accordance with the IT project manager and business project owners. Translate business requirements into clear, detailed designs. Develop high-quality Stories (change specifications) and project changes for Engineers and External Consultants to translate into code or config and propose change implementation. Development & Delivery: Guide, coordinate, and oversee the preparation, execution, and implementation of project changes and the development of code/config of Stories. Ensure all partners follow established standards (process, documentation, coding, testing, naming conventions). Review, approve, and control the implementation of new, enhanced, or modified applications, systems, and solutions. Build sustainable and stable first-time right solutions in a collaborative team spirit with external service providers and stakeholders. Ensure solutions are built according to Architectural and Security principles and changes are timely and adequately prepared and documented. Process Management and Improvement: Contribute to process improvement (tool development, dashboard/insight development, script automation). Collaborate with the domain Architect to address technical debt. Ensure applications and IT infrastructure are available and performing optimally, and continuously improve DevOps processes, tooling, and dashboards. Requirements: Minimum 4 years of experience as a Functional Engineer/Analytics Engineer consultant. Experience with SAP (HANA/BW). Configuration experience in Azure Databricks or similar. Knowledge of financial processes. Understanding of related business processes. Ability to collaborate with business stakeholders and translate needs into IT solutions. Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking). Additional Information: Fluent in English. 100% remote from Brazil.
