**Responsibilities**:
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of robust data pipelines and architectures, emphasizing efficiency and scalability in ETL/ELT processes.
- Manage complex data workflows using Apache Airflow/DBT/Airbytes, integrating a variety of data sources into cloud-based data warehouses like BigQuery.
- Oversee the development and operational management of data lakes, ensuring effective data storage, retrieval, and data integrity.
- Develop sophisticated SQL queries and data models, aligning data strategies with the organizational objectives.
- Head the Business Intelligence function, creating dynamic dashboards and reports with Tableau and Amazon QuickSight to deliver critical insights.
- Engage closely with stakeholders to leverage company data in driving business solutions.
- Mentor and lead a team of data engineers and BI analysts, nurturing a collaborative and innovative team environment.
- Stay updated with industry trends and technologies, evaluating and integrating modern tools to enhance data processing and analytics capabilities.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- A Master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years combined experience in data engineering and business intelligence, including significant leadership experience in managing data-centric teams especially in ecommerce companies.
- Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and data modeling, with thorough understanding of data warehousing principles.
- Expertise in managing data workflows with tools like Apache Airflow and Airbyte, and in using cloud data warehouses and data lakes.
- Advanced skills in Business Intelligence, particularly with Tableau and Amazon QuickSight.
- Proven experience with Kubernetes and DevOps practices, specifically within data operations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale, complex data projects from inception to completion.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
- Effective leadership skills, capable of mentoring, motivating, and leading a team.
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills, adept at engaging with both technical teams and executive stakeholders.
