We're looking for a Senior Backup Engineer (Data Protection Systems) to lead our data protection operations and ensure the resilience and security of our enterprise systems. This role, involves deep technical expertise, strategic thinking, and collaboration with international teams to maintain compliance, enhance reliability, and support business continuity at scale. Fluent or advanced English is required for daily communication with our global teams. What You'll Do: - Lead the configuration, scheduling, and maintenance of data protection systems, ensuring compliance with InComm's Backup and Data Retention policies. - Manage and troubleshoot Dell Avamar and Data Domain solutions to ensure high performance and reliability. - Drive backup/restore testing and validation processes to ensure data integrity. - Monitor system capacity and health, taking proactive measures to address performance issues. - Collaborate with IT and security teams to ensure alignment with compliance and audit requirements. - Develop and maintain documentation for backup and recovery procedures, processes, and best practices. - Stay up-to-date with the latest backup technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems. What You Bring: - 5 years of experience managing enterprise backup solutions. - Strong hands-on experience with Dell Avamar and Data Domain systems (Rubrik is a plus). - Proficiency in SAN/NAS storage backups and snapshots. - Advanced knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems. - Experience with SQL Server and Oracle databases in the context of backup solutions. - Understanding of network architecture and its role in data protection systems. - Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional, global teams. Bonus Points For: - Familiarity with additional backup solutions like Rubrik, Cohesity , or similar tools. - Knowledge of data-tiering technologies and strategies. - Experience in designing and implementing disaster recovery plans. - Prior experience ensuring compliance with audit and data security standards.
