Data Meaning is looking for a Collibra Catalog and Data Quality Analyst.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with meta-data and data catalogs, a strong understanding of data quality and organizational risk avoidance (as it relates to Data), and be comfortable interfacing with all levels of the organization.
Responsibilities:Work with technical and operational subject matter experts to understand and collect metadata about systems, processes, reports, controls, data movement, and business terminology.Leverage Collibra for metadata management, data quality/observability, data cataloging, and data governance initiatives.Document inventory of current state data quality controls and utilize Collibra to centralize and streamline the documentation process.Perform root cause analysis on data issues and recommend data quality controls to resolve gaps/issues.Design, implement, and monitor data quality rules and metrics using Collibra Data Quality tools.Contribute to agile story refinement/defining requirements.Participate in estimating work necessary to realize an agile story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle.Work across development teams to understand and aid in data management and governance requirements.Build and improve data governance processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, data quality controls, dependency, and workload management.Identify gaps in data management standards adherence and work with appropriate partners to develop plans to close gaps.Act as a subject matter expert for Collibra platform capabilities and advocate for its effective use across the organization.Train and support business users and data stewards in using Collibra for data quality and governance activities.Requirements & Skills:Must have strong experience with Collibra tools and modules, including Data Governance Center, Data Catalog, and Data Quality, with a demonstrated ability to implement and configure them effectively (3+ years).Must have strong data management and governance skills and experience (5+ years).Must have strong experience and advanced understanding of the collection and management of metadata, particularly within Collibra's environment (5+ years).Should have experience with, and understanding of, implementing and measuring Data Quality and Controls using Collibra.Experience in integrating Collibra with other tools and systems to enhance data quality and governance workflows.Must be able to identify, analyze, and address problems to resolve issues in a way that minimizes negative impact and risk to the organization.Strong analytical skills/problem-solving/conceptual thinking.Must be proactive and able to drive the direction of work that needs to be completed.Ability to work with technical and non-technical business owners.Ability to work independently on initiatives with little oversight.
Motivated and willing to learn.Effective communication skills, with comfort in delivering messages across a wide spectrum of individuals having varying degrees of technical understanding.Must have strong leadership skills and qualities that enable collaboration with peers and various levels of management.Preferred Qualifications:Relevant certifications such as CDMP, DAMA, or Collibra Ranger.Hands-on experience with data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python, Tableau).
