**Your Role and Responsibilities**

IBM is looking for a geopolitical scientist to help us build threat models, collect internal and open-source data, and run statistical analysis.
This is a global role, supporting efforts to protect IBM's critical assets across all geographies and business units.
We are looking for someone who understands data and conducting data analytics and is comfortable or has some knowledge of political science.
Your insights will be driving threat hunts, supporting data modelling strategies and helping the intelligence team change the culture of IBM.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Provide support for the delivery of Corporate Security's intelligence models through data modelling and threat analysis
- Provide support to IBM's Strategic Intelligence team through statistical analysis for threat assessments
- Synthesize complex information from various data types and sources.

**Required Technical and Professional Expertise**
- Experience working in cyber security, intelligence analysis and/or as a political scientist with a data background.
- Proficiency in Excel and/or Python data manipulation
- Great interpersonal skills and verbal communication.
- Ability to execute work independently and with a remote and diverse international team
- Experience in working both within a team and on own initiative, particularly when developing data insights
Education
- Bachelors/Masters studies focused in a STEM or geopolitics.
- Confident using data and data analytics programs, such as Excel, to build threat models and identity intelligence insights.
