THE PRODUCT
The major goal of BDFS is to enable SAP Lines of Business (LoB's) and customers to enter the world of big data easily. We're delivering Apache Spark as a service, a multi-language engine for executing data engineering, data science, and machine learning on single-node machines or clusters (Kubernetes in our case).
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Development Expert, you will be responsible for the design, coding, testing, and quality assurance in a development team. Your tasks will include:
Work on design, coding, and quality assurance tasks related to specific product features.Development activities in Java.Work in an agile team that uses the Scrum framework.Mentor and guide the team to foster their professional development and growth.Support the team on technical discussions.Help to build PoCs and research possible technical solutions.WHAT YOU BRING Required skills Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Analysis, Information Technology, Mathematics, Physics, or Engineering.Advanced or fluent English.Excellent programming skills and knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and complexity.Proven experience in software development.Willingness to take ownership and drive new developments.Ability to troubleshoot complex software issues.Familiarity with design patterns, Clean Code, CI/CD, and TDD.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Good communication skills.Strong experience with cloud development.NICE TO HAVE Experience with Java development.Experience with CI/CD.LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES
