Rocket Financial is an early-stage start-up in the Financial Technology space (Division of Salt Money). Our mission is to change the way money moves around the planet. Primarily, we are building a business technology platform for those wanting to integrate and embed financial services into their customer applications. We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team. You will be a core member working with the Product, and Engineering teams to deliver and maintain our environments and platform. To be successful, the Senior DevOps Engineer must be an expert in their domain and use a security oriented approach in their day-to-day activities. You should possess excellent communication and development skills to understand, document, develop, and implement key features and functionality. This role will report to the DevOps Team Lead. To Apply to this role, please complete the assessment: Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, BitBucket pipelines. Manage and scale Kubernetes clusters on AWS EKS. Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and AWS CDK. Monitor and troubleshoot system performance using AWS CloudWatch and other tools. Implement and manage messaging and data streaming with Kafka. Deploy and manage containerized applications using AWS ECS. Collaborate with development teams to ensure best practices and improve the overall development process. Conduct regular security assessments and implement security best practices. Using Atlassian Confluence to maintain detailed documentation of infrastructure and processes. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Systems Engineering, or related roles. Strong experience with AWS services, including EKS, ECS, CloudWatch, Kafka, RDS, Redshift, EC2, VPC. Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and AWS CDK. Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, BitBucket, AWS Codebuild, and CodeCommit. Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies, particularly Kubernetes. Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack. Strong scripting skills in languages like Python, Bash. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Experience with agile methodologies and working in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or equivalent certification. CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator) certification Experience with additional AWS services like Lambda, S3, and RDS. Knowledge of security best practices and tools for securing cloud infrastructure.
