Job Title: Director of Reactive Compliance Location: Lapa, São Paulo, Brazil (Hybrid, with office presence at least once a week) Role Description At A247, we prioritize compliance. The Director of Reactive Compliance will be responsible for overseeing and managing all reactive compliance activities within the organization. The primary focus of this role is to address and resolve compliance issues as they arise, in multiple markets, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations and laws. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in compliance management, particularly within the iGaming, Gaming, FinTech, or eCommerce sectors. Key Responsibilities The following is a list of key duties, including but not limited to: Reactive Compliance Management: Address and resolve r eactive compliance issues promptly and effectively. Investigate compliance breaches and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Incident Response: Develop and maintain incident response protocols to manage reactive compliance violations. Lead investigations into compliance breaches and coordinate with relevant departments to ensure thorough resolution. Regulatory Liaison: Maintain strong relationships with regulatory bodies and government agencies. Work side by side with the Director of Proactive Compliance as the shared point of contact for all compliance matters, ensuring clear and effective communication. Communicate with regulators regarding compliance issues and resolutions. Complaint Management: Take ownership of all customer complaints submitted through private or governmental complaint portals (Reclame Aqui, Consumidor, Procon, etc.). Ensure timely and effective resolution of all complaints, maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction. Reporting and Documentation: Prepare detailed reports on reactive compliance incidents and resolutions for senior management. Maintain accurate records of all reactive compliance activities, investigations, and outcomes. Policy Enforcement: Ensure that all departments adhere to established reactive compliance policies and procedures. Monitor reactive compliance with internal policies and external regulations. Training and Education: Provide training to team members on reactive compliance procedures and best practices. Foster a culture of compliance awareness and accountability. Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct post-incident risk assessments to identify potential reactive compliance vulnerabilities. Develop strategies to mitigate identified risks and prevent future reactive compliance issues. Responsible Gaming Collaborate with the Responsible Gaming Manager to develop a robust responsible gaming strategy focused on player protection. Qualifications Extensive experience in reactive compliance management, preferably within the iGaming, Gaming, FinTech, or eCommerce sectors. Strong background in compliance law and regulatory frameworks, ideally in multiple regions. Proven ability to develop and implement effective proactive compliance programs. Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Fluency in Portuguese and Spanish, with a high command of English. Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment, with a requirement to be present in the São Paulo office at least once a week. Experience with project start-up is appreciated.
