The Director of Supply Chain Operations BSP for LATAM will provide strategic leadership and oversight across all supply chain functions within the region.
This role is critical in developing and executing a regional supply chain strategy that aligns with global objectives, ensuring operational excellence, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with local regulations.
The director will manage regional complexities, navigate diverse markets, and foster relationships with local stakeholders to optimize supply chain performance.Regional Strategy Development and Execution:Develop and implement a tailored supply chain strategy for the Latin America and South American markets that integrates with the company's global supply chain objectives.Adapt strategies based on local market conditions, regulatory environments, and cultural considerations.Customize logistics and product distribution models to suit local market needs.Leadership and Regional Team Development:Regularly conduct team assessments to identify skill gaps and arrange targeted training programs.Implement leadership development programs for high-potential team members.Foster a collaborative environment that encourages idea sharing and problem solving across different cultures and locations.Set clear performance metrics and evaluate team performance against these benchmarks.Customized Logistics and Distribution Management:Oversee logistics and distribution strategies that address the unique infrastructural and logistical challenges of the LATAM markets.Implement innovative logistics solutions to improve efficiency and reduce costs, considering the diverse geographic and economic landscape.Analyze transportation methods and select optimal routes to enhance delivery times.Develop risk management processes to minimize disruptions in logistics and ensure quick recovery.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or related fieldMinimum of 12 years of experience in supply chain management with substantial leadership responsibilities, preferably in an international context.Expert knowledge of the Latin American and South American markets, including fluency in Spanish and Portuguese.Strong capability in managing cross-cultural teams and operations in diverse environments.High proficiency in regional regulatory and compliance requirements.Demonstrated ability to implement strategic initiatives that harmonize local operations with global objectives.
