Position Overview
The Process Improvement Director serves as a strategic change leader responsible for the delivery of process innovation and continuous improvement across the organization.
This role will lead a team of Process Improvement Managers to successfully leverage Lean Six Sigma methodology and related tools to analyze end-to-end processes.
Develop strategies, engineer efficient, effective and sustainable processes; lead and monitor key cross-functional enterprise-wide projects with measurable and sustainable results.
This role directly influences senior leadership, key stakeholders and subject matter experts to deliver business transformation while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Job Description
Process Improvement Across the Enterprise:
Utilizing appropriate process improvement techniques, analyze all areas of the company to identify, quantify, scope and prioritize actionable areas of improvements.
Develop business cases (problem definition, establishing baselines, KPIs, financial impacts, approach, etc.)
for potential projects.
Lead and support enterprise projects, while sharing best practices to be leveraged across the network.
Engage cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and support for projects and related improvements.
Develop process improvement programs, training and mentorship.
Lead, Coach, and Drive Results:
Set goals and prioritize the work of a team of Process Improvement managers.
Create team direction based on the company's strategic initiatives, and set clear expectations and accountability.
Maximize performance and efficiency of the team through team building, individual development, and overall process improvement.
Lead and support national and regional projects to ensure standardization and sharing of best practices across locations.
Accountable for driving projects and achieving sustainable results across the network.
Monitor and Mentor:
Align on appropriate measures to actively monitor project risks and actual business impact.
Champion the development of Lean Six Sigma capability across all levels of the organization.
Participate in business reviews, providing insight and feedback on how the organization can evolve to drive further performance and quality improvements.
Be innovative and teach the organization to think differently by challenging the status quo and celebrate great results.

Skills
Specialized Knowledge: Lean Six Sigma methodologies and tools demonstrated through 5-10 completed projects.
Ability to teach, train and mentor LSS concepts.
LSS Master Black Belt certification and experience training and coaching Black Belts as well as completing complex projects strongly desired.
Experience in applying systemic analytical methods to improve processes; Ability to lead a team to success.
Experience within CPG, Supply Chain, Transportation, Warehouse and Grocery Retail Operations strongly desired.
Strong ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions; Expertise in identifying issues and developing effective solutions.
Proficiency in managing projects, including scope, timeline, and resources.
Ability to lead and manage organizational change effectively; Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey ideas and collaborate with stakeholders.
Strong ability to work with and influence cross-functional teams.
Ability to align process improvements with broader organizational goals and strategy.
Creative thinker who can bring fresh perspectives and innovative solutions to process challenges.
Years Of Experience
10-15: Proven track record of accomplishments of continuous improvement projects with demonstrated benefits (with documentation).
10-15: Leading cross-functional teams.
10-15: Leading wholesale or retail operations.

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree - Business Administration, Bachelor's Degree - Business Studies in Operations & Project Management, Bachelor's Degree - Operations & Supply Chain Management, Lean/Six Sigma (Black Belt) - Other.
