The Regional Operations Director leads safe and efficient survey, and related operations, within a specified region through area survey/operations teams. This position is responsible for the effective execution and management of service delivery, labor/productivity, budget, quality, policy, compliance, and safety for all locations within the designated region of responsibility. The Regional Operations Director supports sales and business development through the ongoing development and maintenance of industry relationships as well as business intelligence gained through service/operational interaction.
What You Will Do: Leads safe and efficient regional QE activities through respective teams and individuals in order to meet business outcomes related to service delivery, labor/productivity, budget, quality, policy, compliance, training, development, and safety.Execute and safely lead the Quality Evaluations Core Process within the assigned area of responsibility to achieve organizational success. Responsible for continuous process improvement.Support additional Core Processes as needed to achieve specified organizational business outcomes.Responsible for P&L within the assigned area of responsibilityPromote a culture of safety and ensure safe working conditions,Maintain awareness of, and effectively communicate across the organization, applicable information related to changes in business environment, marketing needs/opportunities, competitor landscape, service delivery requirements, and potential new sales and existing account opportunities.Support sales and business development through the ongoing development and maintenance of industry relationships as well as business intelligence gained through service/operational interaction.Meet or exceed key performance indicators and goals associated with organizational business outcomes.Support service delivery operations as appropriate by acting as a professional specialist in the application of rules, regulations, technical requirements, concepts, principles and processes.Development both strategic and short term manpower needs based on the projected business climate in order to insure that qualified, trained staff are available to execute operations.Ensures business is staffed and resourced appropriately to carry out the business plan and budget.Manage individual and team performance, training, and development to meet current and long term operational and business needs to include positional succession.May serve as a key Account Manager to designated customers and potential customers as required.Ensures Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental Management System requirements are met.What You Will Need: Education and Experience Demonstrated leadership, motivation, and teambuilding skills working in a survey/operations environment or a matrixed/cross functional environment supporting survey operationsExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to speak well in group and/or client facing environments.English language fluency required to conduct detailed technical, and social, verbal and written communication/interaction in a professional business role.Demonstrated analytical and problem solving ability with the skill to propose and convey solutions effectively.Client/Customer service focused demeanor with the ability to build relationships in support of business development.Knowledge of finance, budget, and metrics based performance and the ability to manage key performance indicators to meet business outcomesWorking knowledge of the ABS Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental Management Systems.Bachelor's degree in an engineering or technical field is required.MBA or engineering postgraduate degree is preferredReporting Relationships: May report to a Global Operations Leader or Corporate function as required by the business. Leads and manages professional Area Operations level leaders. May supervise clerical and administrative support as needed
