Job Title: LATAM Distribution Manager - Structural Heart, Medical Devices Location: Latin America (Remote) Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Distribution Manager to oversee the distribution operations within the Structural Heart division of our Medical Devices business.
The Distribution Manager will be responsible for managing relationships with third-party distributors, ensuring effective supply chain processes, and optimizing distribution strategies.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cardiology and experience managing distributors in the medical device industry.
Key Responsibilities: Distributor Management: Develop, manage, and maintain strong relationships with third-party distributors to ensure effective product distribution in assigned territories.
This includes training, performance evaluation, contract negotiations, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Supply Chain Optimization: Oversee the distribution processes to ensure efficient and timely delivery of Structural Heart products to healthcare providers and hospitals.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost-saving measures while maintaining the highest standards of product quality and safety.
Sales & Performance Tracking: Collaborate with the sales team to monitor distributor performance, sales targets, and market trends.
Develop strategies to support distributors in achieving sales goals and market penetration in the cardiology sector.
Cardiology Expertise: Utilize in-depth knowledge of cardiology and the Structural Heart sector to understand customer needs, market dynamics, and the competitive landscape.
Provide clinical insights to distributors to help them better position products and meet customer requirements.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that distribution practices align with global and regional regulatory standards, including compliance with FDA, ISO, and other relevant regulations.
Ensure distributors adhere to the necessary certifications and quality standards for medical devices.
Logistics Management: Coordinate closely with internal logistics teams and distributors to ensure proper inventory levels, timely shipping, and fulfilment of customer orders.
Manage product flow from production to final delivery, minimizing disruptions in the supply chain.
Forecasting & Demand Planning: Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to forecast product demand accurately and plan distribution activities accordingly.
Utilize data-driven insights to manage inventory levels and prevent overstock or stockouts.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the R&D, marketing, and quality assurance teams to stay updated on new product launches, modifications, and market feedback.
Ensure that distributors are equipped with the latest product knowledge and marketing materials.
Qualifications: Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in distribution management, preferably in the medical device industry.
Strong background in cardiology, knowledge in the Structural Heart space, would be advantageous.
Proven experience managing third-party distributors and navigating complex distribution channels.
Skills & Competencies: In-depth knowledge of the medical device industry, particularly Structural Heart devices and solutions.
Strong understanding of regulatory requirements related to medical device distribution (e.g., FDA, ISO).
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to optimize supply chain processes.
Ability to manage multiple projects and work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
Other: Willingness to travel as needed to meet with distributors and oversee operations.
