We are looking for an Electrical Site Supervisor to join Wärtsilä Brazil, on a commissioning project run by Wärtsilä SAM Electronics GmbH - one of the world's leading electrical system integrators in shipbuilding in Germany.
This position is based in Itajaí/SC, Brazil and will be reporting to the Manager Construction Sites.
Travel may be required.
** PLEASE SUBMIT RESUMES IN ENGLISH ** Main activities: Supervision of electrical installation services during the installation phase of cable plant and major equipment and setting to work.Technical supervision as well as monitoring the progress of the respective installation and setting to work activities.Assistance with project-related processes, specifications, and initiation of quality assurance measures.Assistance for the respective quality assurance.Assistance during handover of the respective electrical installation area or system to class and customer.Clarification of open issues with W-SAM engineering and sub suppliers.Support for the engineering for installation-related questions.Ensure reporting to the sub supplier team, Site Supervision Manager, and the project manager.Recognize and mitigate risks in the installation area or the system (HSE, technical, and commercial).Support sub suppliers to recognize, report, and track additional costs.Support sub suppliers to coordinate the respective subcontractors on board and respective electrical tasks, resources, and due dates.Assist sub suppliers in work preparation of the respective installation tasks.Requirements: Technical course in Electrical.CFT register.Degree in Electrical Engineering will be a plus.Experience working as a field electrical professional.Experience in reading and following technical (standard) documents.Experience in commissioning will be a plus.Advanced English (written and spoken).Skills: Communicate effectively with customers & colleagues.Safety-oriented.Team management.Problem-solving.Planning and target setting.Reporting and analytical skills.At Wärtsilä we value, respect, and embrace all our differences, and are committed to diversity, inclusion, and equal employment opportunities; everyone can be their true self and succeed based on their job-relevant merits and abilities.
