Job Title: Industrial ElectricianReports To: Plant EngineerDepartment: Plant Maintenance
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform a variety of tasks related to the installation, maintenance, repair, operation, monitoring, and testing of electrical components for all manufacturing equipment, automated utility equipment, and related support systems, including the plant, administration building, grounds, and facilities, under the direction of the Plant Engineer or their designee.
Follow blueprints and wiring diagrams, and be familiar with applicable electrical codes.
Troubleshoot, repair, and replace general electrical controls, motors, motor drives, relays, starters, and contactors as needed to keep equipment operational, using available drawings and other technical descriptions.
Set up and utilize general test equipment to evaluate and monitor electrical and electronic circuits.
Be familiar with components, methods, and regulations concerning the installation and use of electrical circuits within machinery and facilities. This includes installing electrical conduit and fittings as prescribed by the NEC and applicable regulations, and properly sizing and installing circuits and associated components to provide power or electrical control circuits to specified locations.
Build and install electrical control panels and circuitry in accordance with NEC and applicable regulations.
Perform brazing or soldering duties as required for all types of electrical maintenance, repair, and fabrication work.
Conduct preventative maintenance, calibrations, modifications, and repairs on production and facility assets, utilizing the plant's CMMS system to track and document completed work.
Maintain general housekeeping and cleanliness of equipment and machine areas.
Complete required reports to reflect the type and amount of work performed.
Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
Work independently and collaboratively as needed.
Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Adhere to company rules, regulations, procedures, and personnel policies and practices.
Job Requirements:
High school graduate or equivalent with 3-5 years of related electrical technician experience in a heavy industrial environment or relevant military experience.
